Keep enjoying the view

I keep telling myself you have ten or so days before life goes back to normal. I am enjoying my time here so much I don’t want summer to end. At the same time I can’t wait to meet a new bunch of kids and see what my new school is all about.

Since June I have already become more conscious of myself and my habits. I’m beginning to be proud of myself and my choices. I’m also making better choices. So as I enjoy coffee and journaling this morning I needed to post just how good I feel. Summer was supposed to be about working on me and I did it.

My Puzzle

My Puzzle

I am okay with life today. Somedays I really wonder somedays if I am doing the things I should be. Today I feel good. I always feel good when I am productive and I have new good feelings about exercise. In the last few weeks I decided it was time to focus on myself. I had all summer to focus on my best self. Summer goes quickly and we hit some set backs with our moving and our finances. Thats it though Im learning to look past these things and focus on what I want to do and more what I can do.

I want to go somewhere with my it works business even if its just enough to pay for all of my products or the products I want. I am happy because I get to use these fantastic products. They make me feel so good and I cant wait to continue to show others.

I am also proud of myself for signing up for the gym and getting five out of seven days of exercise in the last two weeks:) I will work hard to sustain that once school starts. I cannot argue with how exercise makes me feel.

It is important for me to find way to make things fun. Challenging myself or my students when they are trying something new can make it fun. Making myself go the distance and achieve a goal also makes it fun. In every aspect of my life I try to be passionate. I am passionate about music education and I always try to give my best effort for my kids. I am passionate about it works products because I feel how they work for me and I have seen results. Lastly I am passionate about being my best self. Therefore I need to be passionate about my exercise program.  I believe I can accomplish all of this and thats the last piece of the puzzle.

Be proud of the little accomplishments.

Be proud of the little accomplishments.

I got to yoga this morning. 10am. Sunday Morning. Yoga. The first round of sun salutations kicked my ass. However as we went I was able to perform most of the poses. I believe there was one or two things that I modified the rest I sweat through. By the time the hour was over I was ready to flop. I was so proud of myself for showing up.

After I left the gym we had a quick lunch and I went to see some people we used to work with. If you have worked in the restaurant business before you will understand how heated things can get, how rude people can be, and how frustrating things can get when someone isn’t pulling their weight. I thought about it and it made me realize how much better I have gotten with letting things roll off me. Yes I am still a sensitive person and yes things still eat me up a little bit. In the classroom like dealing with customers in a restaurant you have to be able to put a smile on your face and move on. You can’t focus on things that in an hour won’t matter. You just have to focus on the task at hand and move on. It doesn’t matter if that task is serving a table and giving them wonderful service or teaching a room full of children how to play a song on their instruments I have to be able to let the bad roll off me and the good shine.

This was the first week in my life that I can honestly say I exercised five out of the seven days. I feel amazing. I feel beyond proud of myself and with the help of the IT Works products I feel like I will reach my goals.

Setting goals and being positive is everything. Be proud of yourself for every little accomplishment. Give yourself some credit. You got this.

The Power of Setting Goals

The Power of Setting Goals

I have had a great few days. We spent some time with our friends, had more walks and stayed active, and ate some great food. It’s not perfect but its working. Slowly I am becoming a more healthy person. I find that if I set myself a goal, for example drink X amount of water a day and I keep track then I do it. I drink the amount I wish to drink and I don’t make the choice of pop or even coffee because I know I want to reach my water goal. When we set goals and we write them down or we put them in our phones or we make it known then we have a greater desire to achieve them.

I talk goal setting a lot in my education courses and use them in my music classroom. Students who set goals for themselves are taking control of their education. My job as a teacher is to help them set those goals and then help them to achieve them. I realize that each student has their own specific individual goals and all learn at their own pace. Once at goal is set the students realize they have the power to work towards them. They are soon ready to set more.

So far I have set goals for myself to get my daily exercise five days a week, I have set a water goal, and goals for my own wellness such as doing yoga, journal/blogging/bullet journalling. Overall these last few days I have felt so much better about myself. I get excited when I achieve one of these goals or when I am working towards it. On my walk this morning the last hill was a little easier then it was the other day. Small progress. Small wins.

I am slowly setting goals with my It Works business. I love this company and every product I have used has been fantastic. It’s hard to convince other people of this. It’s hard to show someone that the wraps work when people who have used them incorrectly tell them they don’t. I will keep going. I will find more people. I will make a little extra income but more than anything I will be using and sharing 30 plus natural health products supported by Health Canada. You can’t beat that. I challenge anyone to try something and see how it works for you the possibilities are endless with this awesome company.

Lastly on a different front we officially have our house in Petty Harbour. We paid our deposit this morning and will be moving in on the 15th of August. Another goal accomplished and now we have a place to settle in and work on our selves for the next two or so years. I am thrilled with the little house and I’m even more excited to start my new job in September.

So what do you take out of this today? Set your goals, write them down, tell someone, put them in your phone. Make yourself accountable for the things you want to achieve and you will. You will move a long at your own pace. You will reach your goal if you push yourself to do it. Only you can make that happen.
